  • 4 baking apples, peeled, cored, sliced
  • 1 cup Baker's Sugar
  • 2 tsp. Kowalski's Vietnamese Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (17.3 oz.) pkg. puff pastry sheets, thawed according to pkg. directions
  • 8 tsp. Baker's Sugar, divided

In medium bowl, combine first 5 ingredients; set aside. Unfold sheets of puff pastry and cut each into 4 quarters; cover to keep from drying out. Place 1/8th of apple mixture down center of one puff pastry square. Fold pastry over apples, overlapping slightly. Wet edges with water to seal; place, seam side down, on parchment-lined jelly roll pan. Wet ends of pastry with water; press with tines of fork to seal. Repeat with remaining squares of puff pastry and apples. Sprinkle tops of each roll-over with 1 tsp. of sugar; cut 3 slits in top of each to vent. Bake in a preheated 375° oven until golden brown (20-24 min.). Using metal spatula, transfer roll-overs to wire rack; cool 5 min. Serve warm.

Additional Tips

Good to Know: Apple varieties that are considered excellent for baking include Cortland, Cameo, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Jonathan, Red Delicious and Rome. Good options are Honeycrisp and Pink Lady.
